The 360° view from the summit of Monte San Salvatore is one of the great sights that can be enjoyed in Lugano and your guide will explain the panorama in detail. To complete this experience you can hike back down, but not directly into Lugano itself because of the difficult terrain. Instead to Melide, site of Swissminiatur, or to the splendid village of Morcote, the most important site on the lake during the Middle Ages. The choice depends on the group’s wishes and the amount of time available. From both arrival points, the return to Lugano is either by boat or by public bus. Proper hiking attire and shoes are required.
