Hasta finales del siglo XVIII dedicado a la producci\u00f3n de aceite de oliva, tuvo que dedicarse a la industria de la seda despu\u00e9s de un invierno muy duro al cual no sobrevivieron los olivos. Hoy en d\u00eda es un meta popular de artistas y de turismo de baja intensidad.
