The Energy Trail

Come and discover the Energy Trail with us: a circular route around the wind turbines of the San Gottardo wind park and the Lucendro dam, offering unique views of the landscape of the Pass. Seven stations along the way invite you to reflect on the past, present and future of electricity production in Ticino and on the use of renewable energy resources in our territory.

We follow a path of about 5 km that takes us past its five imposing wind turbines, to understand how wind energy is transformed into electrical energy. We also stop to discover the secrets of the Lucendro dam, built in the 1940s. The visit lasts about 160 minutes.

For an even more complete experience, it is possible to combine the visit with an e-bike tour. It is possible to reach the San Gottardo wind park and the Lucendro dam by e-bike either from/to the south (Airolo, Ambrì, …), along the famous Tremola, or from/to the north (Andermatt, Göschenen, …).
